Scouting Report on David Huertas
by Jerry Meyer - 09/2/2004Huertas shoots the ball extremely well off the pass. Young and with large feet, he is still growing. Lack of quickness can be a liability on defense and in creating his own shot. He is getting better at creating off the dribble and getting stronger will help him come along further in that area.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
