The temperatures are dropping as the first day of the year's final month makes its way to the calendar. As the temperatures change, so too are the uniforms of many high school athletes. Worn-down cleats are being thrown into closets, replaced by a fresh new pair of high tops that are so clean, you could lick the soles. The shoulder pads are hung away in storage. The eye black is back on the top shelf of the locker, making room for wristbands and for some, the beautiful accessory Horace Grant made famous, Rec-Specs.
