Scouting Report on Dyjuan Lewis

On the Hoof: Has a very athletic frame with lots of lean, quick-twitch muscle and room to grow. He is every bit the height listed and will remind fans physically of Toney Clemons of Colorado.
Needs improvement: Lewis needs to improve his ability to get off the line of scrimmage during tight man coverage. Lewis also needs to work on becoming a complete receiver, which means blocking his butt off when called upon. He could also work on improving his overall speed just a tad.
Most impressive: Lewis is a very smooth route runner that has excellent body control and uses his hands to catch passes, not his body. He may not be a blazer, but he has a beautiful, long stride that will sneak up on defensive backs and use his height and size to gain a decisive advantage.
Conclusion: Most receivers get a chance to make an impact earlier than other positions, and this will be the case for Lewis. He has the ability to start off as a No. 3 receiver as a freshman, and should follow that up with eventually being the go-to guy his last two years in college.
