On the Hoof: Big, thick quarterback built similar to an inside linebacker but not quite as muscled up. Physically reminds people of Eagles' quarterback Donovan McNabb.
Needs improvement: Jones needs to work on throwing the ball while moving in the pocket. He needs to work on squaring his shoulders up and momentarily setting his feet before letting the ball go. Also, needs work on his drops and taking snaps under center.
Most impressive: Jones has a very strong arm that does not seem to tire after throwing for a long period of time. He is also a big and strong kid that will be hard to sack by just one defender, as he has excellent mobility for a pro-style quarterback.
Conclusion: Jones has all the tools to become a successful college quarterback. It will all come down to learning the collegiate game and making correct decisions before the ball is even snapped. He will only flourish under the guidance of a quality quarterbacks coach.
