|Oklahoma wins 71st Annual Oil Bowl06/23/2008 TheOldCoach.com|
With 1:08 left to play, Argyle's Ben Parks lined up to kick a 50-yard field goal that would have won the 71st Oil Bowl for Texas. But Parks' foot never touched the football. The snap was wide left so Nick Florence rolled out and hit Garrett Schoenky with what would have been a first-down pass if safety Austin Giles hadn't interfered on the play. No pass interference was called. No first down was awarded. Oklahoma's 17-16 win was preserved.
