On the Hoof: Williams is a strong, muscular running back with a frame that can take a pounding and add weight. At 5 feet 11, Williams has good height and he is imposing both in his size and also in his muscle definition.
Needs improvement: Despite a highlight film that is as impressive as you will find and elite testing numbers, Williams is yet to put up the production you would hope on a consistent basis. He is a downhill back and is capable of catching the ball but can improve his route-running out of the backfield.
Most impressive: Williams is a physical North-South runner that dishes out as much punishment with the ball in his hands as he takes. He runs extremely well and is as fast as any big back in the country. Athletically, Williams has all the makings of an elite back with speed, agility and strength. He has good leg drive after contact, muscles through tackles and can hit the hole with acceleration and burst.
Conclusion: If Williams can put to use all of the physical gifts that he has been blessed with, he has as much if not more upside than any back in the country. If he stays focused his college career has the potential to reflect that upside.
