Scouting Report on Michael Dixon
by Jerry Meyer - 10/10/2007A heady point guard, Dixon is crafty and precise with the basketball. Adept at getting into the midrange, he scores with a reliable pull up jumper and can find shooters. Not an overly athletic player, Dixon, however, does a nice job controlling the ball on defense.
Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
