On the Hoof: A very long-limbed athlete with a frame that can easily hold another 15 to 20 pounds of muscle mass. Clinton-Dix build is similar to Alabama incoming freshman Nick Perry.
Needs Improvement: Seemed a bit thin at the Tuscaloosa Nike camp so adding some muscle mass should make him an even bigger hitter and more durable. As a tackler he needs to wrap up consistently rather than just strike the ball carrier.
Most Impressive: Clinton-Dix is no stranger to catching plays from behind or smacking people right in the mouth while on the gridiron. He also possesses good balls skills and has the ability to cover receivers while in off man.
Conclusion: Has the makings of a special teams monster, while he works his way into the starting lineup. Defensive backs usually take longer than most positions to hone their skills. Look for him to get meaningful playing time late in his sophomore season.
