Scouting Report on Brandon Saineby Mike Farrell - 06/20/2006
Saine is a north-south runner with excellent speed and toughness. He plays physical and doesn’t shy away from contact. It usually takes more than one tackler to bring him down and his legs never stop churning. He doesn’t have a ton of wiggle to him, but cuts back well and bounces things to the outside when the opportunity is there. He is at his best when he hits the line of scrimmage at top speed and doesn’t try to dance and find the hole. Saine reaches top speed after a few stride and can outrun defensive backs if he gets a step. He needs to be more consistent about running low as he sometimes takes on tacklers high and gets away with it in high school. Has the potential to be a threat in the passing game with his upfield burst.
