Teddy Bridgewater

On the Hoof: Any physical comparisons to former Miami Northwestern star Jacory Harris can be thrown out the window. Bridgewater has wide shoulders, long arms and a frame that will allow him to easily carry more than 200 pounds.
Needs Improvement: Needs to get as many snaps under center as he can in the offseason because he will be almost entirely in the shotgun come fall. Bridgewater could add at least 15 pounds before he gets on the field, making him more durable and harder to bring down. I would also like to see him do a better job of setting his feet and keeping his elbow shoulder level while throwing the ball.
Most Impressive: Bridgewater has excellent arm strength, but can also put touch on the ball when needed. He has great pocket presence and the ability to make yards with his feet. He is most dangerous buying time in the pocket while the coverage breaks down. Bridgewater has tremendous confidence in his abilities and is a natural leader.
Conclusion: Like most young quarterbacks, he should redshirt while he learns the offense and adds muscle mass and strength. Could have an even better career than his predecessor Harris.
