Scouting Report on Jarrick Williams

On the Hoof: He is the prototypical lean, yet muscular strong safety that has the physical body structure of an NFL football player already. He is similar to Newnan (Ga.) High safety Alec Ogletree in the 2010 class.
Needs Improvement: Williams has a tendency to tackle high, which will not always work at the next level. I would also like to see him improve his recovery speed just a tad.
Most Impressive: He does a nice job of reading run/pass and is not afraid to stick his helmet on a ball carrier. Williams has pretty good ball skills for a headhunter and tremendous leaping ability.
Conclusion: Will start his career out in the secondary, but may grow into an outside linebacker before all is said and done. He should definitely have an impact on special teams early and see meaningful playing tine by his second season. His affinity for striking offensive players could take him a long way.
